Sheril Hook is the Chief Librarian of the John M. Kelly Library, University of St. Michael's College and she has served in this position since January 1, 2014. She has held appointments in libraries at University of Toronto Mississauga, University of Arizona, University of South Dakota, and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has over 20 years of teaching experience in the areas of composition and information studies, including semester long courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
In addition to her own active research and publication agenda, she has served as an Editorial Board Member for two publications of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL): Publications in Librarianship and College and Research Libraries. She has served on a number of national and internationalcommittees andhas held several leadership positions in ACRL.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master of Arts Library Science from the same University. A PhD in Information Studies from the University of Toronto is expected in 2016.
