Bursar's Office Appoints Stephen Fish, Director Conferences and Ancillary Services; and Tracy Greig, Director Procurement, Project Management and Facilities
October 1, 2012
Facilities, Plant, Conference and Ancillary Services are responsible for a broad range of activities that ensure USMC delivers to its mission. This group of functions generates revenue and profit to support the University, maintains and enhances the USMC’s buildings, grounds as well as provides shared services to support campus life. We have ongoing opportunities and challenges to evolve the campus to meet changing user needs and continue to make it a vibrant and welcoming place to live, learn and work.
We are now ready to move forward into a new phase of strategic facility management and focus on revenue generation that is closely aligned with the overall strategic initiatives of USMC. I am pleased to announce a realignment of our Facilities and Services area that will help us capitalize on our strengths as we transition into this future state.
Stephen Fish moves to Director Conferences and Ancillary Services continuing to report directly to me. He will focus on revenue and profit generation from conferences, rentals, and food service as well as manage security, parking, our mail room and IT. Stephen has significantly increased conference revenue over his tenure at USMC. He has improved our food service program with the introduction of the Kelly Café and more recently made changes and renovations to our residence meal program. He proposed the development of Father Madden Hall, worked with the Dean of Students to introduce the 24 hour reception desk, implemented a functioning work order system and ensured our grounds department was equipped appropriately. Sabrina Coccagna and Leroy Tang will continue to report to Stephen in their current capacities.
Tracy Greig, who has been with us on a contract basis since April focusing on procurement realignment and major projects management, has accepted the position of Director Procurement, Project Management and Facilities. This new role will be responsible for facility planning and management, plant operations including maintenance, capital projects, trades, janitorial and housekeeping, grounds keeping, and new procurement and project management. She will report directly to me. David Johnson and Miguel Reymundo will report to Tracy.
Tracy joins us with more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors in leadership areas of roles involving all aspects of project management, supply chain management, capital works and maintenance programs. She has spent much of her career in successively progressive positions including Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (Vice President Supply Chain), Truestone Project Managers (General Manager), Van-Rob Inc. (Director, Global Supply Chain & Logistics), and Magna (Director Global Purchasing).
In her various roles, Tracy has led supply chain organizations in Poland, Italy, China, India and Mexico through significant transformation, culture change and cost optimization programs and has implemented building construction and equipment installations. She has developed and executed strategies, standardized policy and process, goals and metrics and has significantly contributed to the overall financial performance of her organizations.
Tracy is a former member of: the Board of Governors of Durham College; Chair of the Strategic Purchasing Committee of the Automotive Parts Manufacturing Association; and a council member of the Chief Procurement Officers Council and China Strategy Council as part of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association.
