News News: SMC Rugby Team Reclaims Crown!

TORONTO, November 22, 2009 -- On an unseasonably warm November 22 afternoon, the SMC Rugby team defeated the reigning champion engineers by a resounding score of 26 0.
The victory allowed SMC to reclaim the crown they lost to the engineers in last years finale, and put an exclamation mark on the most dominant rugby season SMC has ever turned in.
Not only did our squad go undefeated with a perfect 7-0 record through the regular season and playoffs, but five of those seven wins were complete game shut-outs.
As a result, our boys averaged a whopping 27 points per game and managed to outscore their opponents by an eye-popping 191 24.
Congratulations gentlemen, on an outstanding season and a well deserved championship victory!
