USMC Welcomes Erica Tice as its new Campus Minister

Dear members of the USMC community,

Please join me in welcoming Erica Tice to St. Mike’s. She has joined the Office of Student Life as the new Campus Minister and is located in Brennan 162.

Sincerely,

Oriana Bertucci
Director of Student Life

Erica Tice was born and raised in Hamilton where she earned her undergraduate degree in Classics, History, and Anthropology at McMaster University. Following her graduation, Erica relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she earned her catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Detroit. She also holds a teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University. She has taught a wide variety of subjects at both the high school and elementary levels.

During her time spent in the United States, Erica was also given the rare gift of an extended period of comprehensive religious formation with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, one of the fastest growing religious communities in North America. The time spent living, learning, and worshipping with this community, as well as participating in the Dominican tradition of education, mission, and evangelization across the United States, cultivated her deep love of Christ present in the Eucharist, and of His Church, which she is delighted to share with the St. Mike’s community. Erica has a passion for working with young adults and is particularly interested in Church history, the Catechism, the lives of 20th century saints, Christian art as a means of catechetical formation, and the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
