The John L. Lee Memorial Scholarship

Mr. John Lee was a first-generation post-secondary student who graduated from University of Toronto, St. Michael’s College (B. Sc. 1982) where he made lifelong friends with whom he started his career in computer science. John was an IT professional and executive for over 40 years, leading and inspiring teams across numerous industry sectors. He was a family man to the fullest and touched the lives of friends and family alike with his smile, generosity, and positive outlook.

Awarded to a student registered at the University of St. Michael’s College who is enrolled in a B.Sc. program and demonstrates financial need. The student must be in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study and have a minimum CGPA of 3.0.  Preference will be given to a first-generation domestic student enrolled in the computer science program. The student must complete a 1000 word essay as part of one of the application questions.
