The College welcomes and invites you to live out your vocations as energetic and intellectually serious students seeking knowledge, truth, and goodness across a remarkable array of disciplines and programs. Get off to a good start by reviewing the resources shown below.
All new students are invited to join us for Orientation, which is designed to introduce you to university life and to connect you with St. Michael’s and University of Toronto’s academic, cultural, social and spiritual resources.
Orientation begins with the Commuter Students’ Orientation Day on Wednesday, August 31 (9:00 am -?? check with Oriana) and the Residence Students’ Move-in Day on Monday, September 5 (9:00 am to 4:00 pm).
Orientation Week kicks off on Tuesday, September 6 and runs through to Saturday, September 10.
Opening day highlights include Campus Ministry’s Breakfast of Champions, the opening rally in the Quad (9:00 am?? check with Oriana), the President’s Welcome (10:00 am, The Coop??), the Orientation Mass (5:00 pm, St. Basil’s Church), and the Invocation Ceremony (7:00 pm, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, Devonshire Pl, Toronto).
Attend one of the Q&A Information Sessions with the Registrar’s Office (see the Newly Admitted Students page for details)[ADD LINK] to find out more about academic counselling and financial support.
Learn about the John M. Kelly Library’s academic resources and support such as the Writing Centre, the Kelly Library Personal Librarian program and additional Learning Support programs.
Our Orientation Team has been working hard all summer so that you can enjoy a fun-filled week!
Meet new friends and join in all of activities lead by Campus Life and Orientation Team Leaders and SMCSU.

Orientation Week wraps up with the traditional Tri-college March to U of T.
Classes begin on Monday, September 12.
