McLuhan Salon: A Double Book Launch with Jaqueline McLeod Rogers and B.W. Powe
October 14 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm EDT
St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto and the McLuhan Foundation invite you to the second McLuhan Salon of the 2025 season—a special evening of conversation, a McLuhanesque exploration of the intersections of media, imagination, and crisis.
This event features two distinguished thinkers:
- Jaqueline McLeod Rogers (University of Winnipeg) will present Crises Then as Now: McLuhan, with Urbanist Jaqueline Tyrwhitt and Artist Gyorgy Kepes (Peter Lang, 2025), a study that reconsiders McLuhan’s collaborative exchanges and their enduring relevance to our contemporary condition.
- B.W. Powe (York University) will present Mysteria (Steam Elsewhere Press, 2025), his latest work of visionary writing—a poetic meditation on perception, mystery, and transformation.
The McLuhan Salons bring together scholars, artists, thinkers, and the public to reflect on the vibrant legacy of Marshall McLuhan in the 21st century.
This event is free and open to the public.
In-person only — no registration required.
