Description:

Rev. Msgr. Paul McPartlan, S.T.L., D.Phil., a Professor of Systematic Theology and Ecumenism at The Catholic University of America and a member of both the North American and International Catholic-Orthodox Dialogue, will be giving a free public lecture titled “The Road to Chieti and Beyond: Recent Developments in Orthodox-Catholic Dialogue” on the evening of Friday, October 26. You can learn more about the Orthodox-Roman Catholic joint ecumenical statement, which is often referred to as “The Chieti document” and was published by the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, at this CCCB link.

His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Toronto, and His Eminence Metropolitan Sotirios, Greek Metropolitan of Toronto and all of Canada, will be providing official greetings to commence the public lecture, which is being organized by the University of St. Michael’s College Faculty of Theology in the University of Toronto in collaboration with The Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies (MASI).
