February 13 at 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
The Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies at the University of St. Michael’s College invites you to attend the inaugural seminar in the series “Tuesdays at Sheptytsky.” The seminar will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Windle House (5 Elmsley Place), featuring guest-speaker Dr. Robert Logan, an emeritus physics professor at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Logan will present his seminar, “McLuhan by Logan – for Theologians and Liturgists,” part two of a four-part seminar. The aim is to engage with theologians and Eastern Christian liturgists to discuss Marshal McLuhan’s relevance to their fields. Dr. Logan collaborated and co-authored with McLuhan (1973 to 1980), and he is author and editor of 16 books and over 100 articles.
This seminar is the first in the series “Tuesdays at Sheptytsky.” Please note that another, separate, series called “Thursdays at Sheptytsky” should not be confused with these Tuesday sessions. “Tuesdays at Sheptytsky” are free events and open to the public. Parts three and four of Logan’s lectures will take place on Tuesday, March 13 and Tuesday, April 3.
