Next Steps in Continuing Education at USMC

The University of St Michael’s College is committed to building on the traditions that define us while exploring new ways to engage, educate and inspire future generations of students. This commitment extends to our alumni, whom we embrace both as lifelong members of St. Michael’s community and as lifelong learners.

As we have celebrated the 30th anniversary of USMC’s Continuing Education Division we have also been looking to the future. A recent review of continuing education programming has encouraged us to reflect on our original vision for offering the program, a vision closely aligned with our commitment to educating servants who lead and leaders who serve. Needless to say, this has in turn led us to think carefully about the extent to which our current program still supports this vision. We want to take the time to pursue this course of inquiry, consulting extensively as we go. Principal Boyagoda and I will soon be naming someone to lead this work. In order to ensure that we have the time to do this, we are suspending the general interest (non-credit) Continuing Education program for the 2017-18 academic year. 2016-2017 programs are being offered as usual until end of June.

Programming toward our Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility will continue as scheduled.

Further updates will follow as plans develop. In the meantime Randy and I are happy to answer questions care of: usmc.presidentsoffice@utoronto.ca or randy.boyagoda@utoronto.ca. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
