In JL Granatstein/ Desmond Mortons- “A nation forged in fire”, Canadians and the second World war 1939-1945, ‘appendix C listing RCAF SQUADRONS in the second world war’. Does not show a ‘138 SQDN’ either in ‘home war establishments’ nor ‘RDAF overseas’ (All latter SQDNS number 400s). RCAF SQDNs usually did not fly ‘Starlings’- if at all.
