Counselling Support and Coping Skills
Nicole LeBlanc is a native Torontonian who has been a social worker for the past ten years. She completed her BA in Psychology at the University of Waterloo and her MSW with a focus on counselling at Sir Wilfred Laurier University and began her career in adoptions counselling in Houston, TX. She subsequently worked with NGOs in Kenya and the Philippines, offering trauma-based counselling and training for refugees as well as for survivors of illegal detention, sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. Nicole has also worked as a counsellor for people dealing with a range of life challenges, ranging from depression, anxiety and relationship issues to severe mental health diagnoses and addictions, most recently working with the First Nations community here in Toronto. Nicole cherishes travel, food, fiction, faith and her whippets.
