The University of St. Michael’s College has received an overwhelming response in the two weeks since announcing that Cardinal Robert Sarah will be visiting campus and delivering a public lecture on March 12. The demand for tickets from students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of St. Michael’s has eclipsed any public event hosted by the University in recent memory.
Because the demand far exceeds the seating capacity of St. Basil’s Church, the University has shifted the venue for the public lecture to St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica, thanks to the generosity of the Archdiocese of Toronto. This will allow for more than twice as many people to attend Cardinal Sarah’s lecture and take part in evening vespers.
Anyone who has successfully registered for the event will have their tickets honoured. Those who placed their name on the waitlist should receive a notification informing them that they have now received tickets. All attending are asked to present their tickets upon arrival March 12, as these will be required for entry into the Cathedral Basilica.
Any inquiries regarding the event can be directed to the Office of the Communications at the University of St. Michael’s College, which can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
