Undergraduate Travel Awards at St. Michaels’ College

Through the Office of the Principal at the University of St. Michael’s College, students have the opportunity to apply for support of educational travel. Award recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit and feasibility, and where relevant, the Office of the Principal will seek assessment and advice from faculty members and Fellows at the College and in related departments and programs in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Preference is given to projects directly related to the student’s program of study.

Who can apply? full-time undergraduates registered at St. Michael’s College; full-time undergraduate students enrolled in an SMC One or SMC FYF course; and/or  full-time undergraduate students pursuing a Specialist, Major, or Minor in one of St. Mike’s four sponsored programs (Book & Media Studies, Celtic Studies, Christianity & Culture and Medieval Studies).

Depending on the need and merit of the applications, grants range from $500 to $1,000. Successful applicants should expect 3-4 weeks for grants to be processed and appear in their ACORN account.

Submit completed forms to the Principal’s Office (usmc.principalsoffice@utoronto.ca). The deadline to apply for the Winter 2026 round is 11:59 PM, February 28, 2026.

Applicants will be notified by March 20, 2026.
