Canadian Association for Irish Studies Conference: Canadian Contributions to the Northern Ireland Peace Process

Part of the Canadian Association for Irish Studies Annual Meeting, “Canadian Contributions to the Northern Ireland Peace Process”  is being held on Thursday, June 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This panel will examine questions surrounding the importance and vulnerabilities of the Good Friday Agreement / Belfast Agreement with a focus on significant contributions made to the peace process in Northern Ireland / North of Ireland by Canadians and their close counterparts in the US, Ireland and the UK. Moderated by Bridget Brownlow (St. Mary’s University), panelists include General John de Chastelain, Ambassador Ray Bassett, and Dr. Bonnie Weir (Yale University).
