The Executive Assistant provides clerical support to the Bursar & CAO (βBursarβ) and Project & Operations Manager (βManagerβ) at the Office of the Bursar & CAO.
Reporting directly to the Project & Operations Manager, the Executive Assistant provides clerical support for the Office. The executive assistant functions with hospitality, organizational acumen, efficiency, diplomacy, and judgment while handling multiple priorities and addressing complex tasks and issues. The incumbent will perform complex clerical duties in support of the Bursar & CAO and Projects & Operations Manager and work with highly sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of integrity and judgment.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach across a range of undergraduate years of study and to expose students both to historical breadth and specialist knowledge. They will also be expected to mentor and supervise students in advanced and independent research assignments.

Practical experience with letterpress printing, with hands-on teaching of letterpress printing, and with the use, maintenance, and care of 19th and 20th century printing presses, type, and the general upkeep of a print shop, including maintaining an inventory of supplies, is essential. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses that combine the academic study of the history of printing with practical, workshop-style classes in printing. They will also be expected to run the student printing apprenticeship program sponsored by St. Michaelβs College.
