The University of St. Michael’s College provides a variety of spaces for nearly every type of event. You will find more information about available rooms below. Our spaces include set-seating theatres, comfortable lounges and flexible banquet and lecture space.

- Alumni 100 – Capacity 274
Room Alumni 100 Building Alumni Hall Type Theatre Capacity 274 Dimensions (Feet) Square Footage 3212 Alumni 100 is a large theatre space perfect for lectures, presentations and guest appearances. This space is the largest theatre at St. Michael’s College and features comfortable seating for up to 274 guests and the option of a full AV set up.
AV Equipment:
Alumni 100 features a “Smart Classroom” unit in-house. The unit contains:
- 2 Microphones
- Internal Sound System
- Data Projector
- Screen
- In-Unit Computer
- All Required Cables

- Alumni 400 – Capacity 198
Room Alumni 400 Building Alumni Hall Type Theatre Capacity 198 Dimensions (Feet) Square Footage 1941 Alumni 400 is a medium sized theatre spaces perfect for lectures, presentations and guest appearances. This space is the second theatre at St. Michael’s College and features comfortable seating for up to 198 guests and the option of a full AV set-up.
AV Equipment:
Alumni 400 features a “Smart Classroom” unit in-house. The unit contains:
- 3 Microphones (Podium, lapel, wireless handheld), which can all be used simultaneously.
- Internal Sound System
- Data Projector
- Screen
- In-Unit Computer
- All Required Cables

- Charbonnel Lounge – Capacity 120
Room Charbonnel Lounge Building Elmsley Hall Type Theatre Classroom Banquet (Rounds of 8) Capacity 120 72 96 Dimensions (feet) 27.8 x 67.8 Square Footage 1885 Charbonnel Lounge is one of the most beautiful event spaces at the University of St. Michael’s College. Charbonnel Lounge often hosts lectures, workshops and formal dinners. This space features a wonderful ambiance and two entrances leading out to our garden patio. Our patio can also be booked for your event and is included in the room charge.

Charbonnel features Ceiling speakers, 2 Wireless Handhelds, 1 Lavalier Mic, Tesira Connection (allows for Hybrid Events and Computer recording), USB Camera, In-House Provided Laptop, and Auxiliary Connection.
- Father Madden Hall – Capacity 120
Room Father Madden Hall Building Carr Hall Type Theatre Classroom Banquet (Rounds of 8) Capacity 120 70 104 Dimensions (feet) 34.4 x 58 Square Footage 1995 Father Madden Hall reflects the charm and ambiance of the early 20th century and has hosted a wide range of events, from lectures and workshops to formal dinners.
Conveniently located just off St. Joseph Street, the Hall is close to the Alumni Hall parking lot, the Quad green space, and several nearby classrooms, which may be booked as additional breakout spaces. The adjoining lobby is well suited for event registration and catering, offering added flexibility for your event layout.
AV Equipment:
Father Madden Hall is equipped with an in-house sound system that supports up to three wireless handheld microphones and one lavalier microphone. An auxiliary connection is also available for music playback. The space features a Tesira audio system, enabling hybrid meetings, video conferencing, and laptop-based recording. To support these functions, a USB camera is available to capture the speaker or audience, along with a USMC-provided laptop.
- Sam Sorbara Auditorium – Capacity 235
Room Sam Sorbara Auditorium Building Brennan Hall Type Theatre Classroom Banquet (Rounds of 8) Capacity 235 225 220 Dimensions (feet) 66.7 x 66.8 Square Footage 4556 Sam Sorbara Auditorium is one of the largest and most versatile spaces at St. Michael’s College. This space is perfect for lectures, formal dinners and conference workshops. Please note that during the school year Sam Sorbara can only be set up in a “classroom” style.

AV technicians can be requested through the Conference Services Department. There is a minimum call-in of four hours for all events.
- Senior Common Room – Capacity 50
Room Senior Common Room Building Brennan Hall Type Theatre Classroom Capacity 36 30 Dimensions (feet) 23.1 x 38.3 Square Footage 885 The Senior Common Room is aintimate and versatile space featuring flexible seating, built-in AV, adjustable lighting, and walls adorned with artwork—complete with expansive windows and a central location at the heart of the USMC campus. Perfect for in-person and hybrid meetings, smaller groups looking for workshops and lecture spaces.
AV Equipment:
Senior common room includes a built in Hybrid setup- 60″ flat screen TV, USB Camera, and USB Microphone to help deliver keynotes and meetings.
