Practical experience with letterpress printing, with hands-on teaching of letterpress printing, and with the use, maintenance, and care of 19th and 20th century printing presses, type, and the general upkeep of a print shop, including maintaining an inventory of supplies, is essential. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses that combine the academic study of the history of printing with practical, workshop-style classes in printing. They will also be expected to run the student printing apprenticeship program sponsored by St. Michael’s College.

The Executive Assistant provides clerical support to the Bursar & CAO (“Bursar”) and Project & Operations Manager (“Manager”) at the Office of the Bursar & CAO.
Reporting directly to the Project & Operations Manager, the Executive Assistant provides clerical support for the Office. The executive assistant functions with hospitality, organizational acumen, efficiency, diplomacy, and judgment while handling multiple priorities and addressing complex tasks and issues. The incumbent will perform complex clerical duties in support of the Bursar & CAO and Projects & Operations Manager and work with highly sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of integrity and judgment.

The Executive Assistant provides administrative, organizational and operational support to the Office of the President. The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Director, Office of the President & Secretary to Collegium and President on a wide variety of administrative duties and projects involving the Office of the President and its priorities. The Executive Assistant provides support for projects initiated by the President’s Office and handles questions, concerns, issues and requests on the President’s behalf. The Executive Assistant has recurring contact with members of the Collegium, the Chancellor’s office, senior administrators, University of Toronto officials, faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents and external constituents.
