Emily holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a specialist in Christianity and Culture, a Master of Divinity from the Faculty of Theology, and completed a Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto.
Emily has a long history with SMC – as a student she served as a Senior Residence Don, President of the Rabanus Project, and Lead Editor of the Saeculum. Professionally, Emily worked as the Outreach Coordinator and Director of Pastoral Ministries at St. Basil’s Church. Most recently, Emily has been serving as the Dean of Residence at Loretto College for the past 6 years.
Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Manager of Community Wellness will develop and implement a variety of wellness programs and initiatives designed to improve the overall mental health of our students and create a culture of care within our community. She will provide support and assistance to the SMC Wellness Counsellor in order to create additional counseling capacity and help students requiring sub-clinical care to navigate the many U of T and community-based mental health supports available to them.
