Things St. Mike’s celebrated in August and September

There’s an upbeat mood on campus as we settle back in to in-person classes and events. Everyone is happy to be getting caught up with classmates and colleagues and it’s a great time to be on campus as St. Mike’s is especially beautiful in the fall.  Here’s a sampling of some of the moments we celebrated  August and September.

Speaking of our beautiful campus, our facilities team and independent contractors were hard at work all summer. Completed work includes more dorm renovations and fabulous new interlock paving on Elmsley Lane.

Teamwork across campus helped us marked Michaelmas, our patron saint’s feast day.

Celebrations began with Mass, which was followed by lunch and speeches, and then and social time with our community. In the evening, Br. Guy Consalmagno, SJ, who is director of the Vatican Observatory, delivered a lecture—“God’s Mechanics”– on campus and then students and young alumni mingled at a pub night.
