The Conference & Hospitality Services Assistant is responsible for completing tasks that assist the day-to-day office in coordinating conferences, film shoots, events and hotelling. This front-line position is often the first point of contact for clients and guests. The successful candidate will assist with conference and hospitality planning, customer service, communication, teamwork, registration, logistics, and financial management.
The John M. Kelly Library at the University of St. Michael’s College invites applications from an innovative and service-oriented librarian for the position of Instruction Librarian and Director, USMC Research and Writing Help Centre. As a member of the Kelly’s Academic Services Functional Team, and liaison to the College’s undergraduate Book and Media Studies program, the successful applicant will play a central role in the library’s instruction, reference, outreach, and liaison programs. Reporting to the Chief Librarian, John M. Kelly Library, the successful candidate will also teach an undergraduate course in information literacy and serve as Director of the St. Michael’s College Research and Writing Centre where they will oversee the daily operations of the centre and manage a team of writing instructors. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining close, collaborative, and proactive relationships with faculty, staff, and students across all St. Michael’s College divisions.
This course explores the doctrine of the Trinity in its historical development and in the life and practice of the church. The course begins with scriptural foundations and then the development of Trinitarian doctrine in the Christian tradition. The doctrine will be considered in the light of current theological discourse, contemporary issues and spirituality.

As part of the Writing-Integrated Teaching (WIT) program, a writing instruction initiative in Arts and Science, the Lead Writing TA (LWTA) will work with the WIT staff and WIT Unit Contact to support course instructors and TAs in selected courses, as well as support undergraduate student writing development overall in the hiring department. The chief duty of instructors at the Writing Centre is to counsel students individually and in small groups on university writing, especially on organization, reasoning, style, and language use. Instructors can expect to see students with writing assignments from a variety of disciplines. Instructors may also be asked to deliver group instruction on general writing skills or in the context of specific College program courses. The exact duties and schedule will be worked out in consultation with the supervisor of the Writing Centre. This position includes four hours of professional development training (details to be determined).
