  • Application Requirements & Documentation

    In order to complete your application for a SMC Graduation Award, you must submit the following application documents: (i) A Resumé. (ii) A Letter of Recommendation from an academic or professional referee to be emailed to jill.rankin@utoronto.ca, (iii) A statement (no more than 500 words) outlining your qualification for the graduation award(s) selected. Please highlight SMC activities. iv) Optional- a photo of yourself (preferably at USMC) and a brief paragraph (no more than 500 words) of life lessons, memorable moments or experiences at USMC. If you are a successful recipient of a graduation award, we may use your writing/photo as part of a graduate story piece or article in USMC communications.
  • A statement (no more than 500 words) providing detail on your qualification for the graduation award(s) selected. Please highlight SMC activities, community volunteer work, university leadership, or other related activities.

        Use of AI Tools The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT and other AI applications, is prohibited when creating content for any University of Toronto undergraduate award application. Students and applicants found to have used generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) to create content that is presented as their own ideas will be disqualified from award eligibility. This prohibited use of generative AI for content creation will be considered an academic offence.
