St. Mike’s Campus Ministry is seeking to hire 7 Student Campus Ministers for the 2025-2026 school year, to work together as a team while leading specific portfolios that reflect the spirit, the mission and the values of the University of St. Michael’s College.

They will serve as role models and ambassadors for the University at large in aiding the formation of the whole student by supporting their personal, spiritual, and social development. The successful candidate will have an understanding and willingness to support the mission of the University of St. Michael’s College with a desire to weave their faith as part of student leadership.

Christian Discipleship Portfolio

Number of positions available: 3

This new portfolio combines what used to be the “Catholic Faith Formation” and “Christian Prayer and Worship” portfolios, and will be responsible for creating programming that nourishes the spiritual life of Christian students on campus.

This is an opportunity to enable depth and growth of students’ relationship with Jesus through organization of faith sharing, Bible study, different forms of prayer, programs expanding on the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, and so much more!

Inter-faith Portfolio

Number of positions available: 2

This portfolio will be responsible to programs and events oriented towards learning from and dialoging with different faith and spiritual traditions that make up USMC.

This is an opportunity to cultivate curiosity and the desire to share and learn about the diversity of faith traditions while also actively contributing to the spirit of celebration on campus. Examples of festivities include: Diwali, Iftaar dinners, Mardi Gras, etc.

Social & Community Outreach Portfolio

Number of positions available: 2

This portfolio will be responsible to create volunteer opportunities to serve people in need in the city of Toronto – the homeless, the isolated, migrants and refugees, among others.

This is an opportunity to build intentional relationships with community partners such as St. Basil’s Out of the Cold, Romero House, etc. where students witness the reality of the various precarious circumstances within the city of Toronto.
