The SMRC is comprised of two executives:
- President
- Vice President
As well as 4 Individual Councilor positions:
- Dean’s Cup Coordinator
- Communications Coordinator
- Events Coordinator
- Treasurer
Students interested in running for the St. Michael’s College Residence Council (SMRC) are required to complete the appropriate nomination form. In order to be nominated, a candidate must collect the signatures of 10 current residents. Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the Assistant Dean, Residence Life before the All-Candidates Meeting on Sunday, March 30th, 2025 from 8-9 PM. Our SMRC information session will be on Tuesday, March 11th at 8-9pm. If you are unable to attend the information session, please inform stmikesresidencecouncil@gmail.com.
The All-Candidates Meeting is where the Assistant Dean, Residence Life will discuss the campaign rules and postering policies. All individuals who are running in the SMRC election are required to attend. Candidates may not begin campaigning until the conclusion of this meeting when their candidacy has been officially confirmed by the Assistant Dean, Residence Life (ADRL). For any questions, please contact the ADRL, who is noted in the Nomination Package.
Important Dates 2025:
- Nominations: Tuesday, March 11th – Sunday, March 30th
- All-Candidates Meeting: March 30th at 8pm (Nomination Packages Due)
- Campaigning: Monday, March 31st – Sunday, April 6th
- Voting: Monday, April 7th – Sunday, April 13th
Note: You must be living at St. Michael’s College Residence to hold a position on the SMRC.
